MixStar: processing of gerbera

The MixStar is a gerbera bunching machine that we newly developed for automated bunching of mini flower and large flower gerbera on the basis of colour (maximum 5). The MixStar sorts the gerberas on colour, stem length and flower surface. The machine can be adjusted in number of stems and varieties per bunch. As the MixStar is controlled on the basis of a customer's order, the settings can be changed quickly to be able to assemble the orders per customer. The MixStar was also developed as a modular machine, and a good configuration can be made for any situation.

Capacity is 7,000 - 8,000 hooks per hour for bunches with 6 stems and more

The machine has a control module that is able to process several colours of gerbera at the same time. This can be done with both different colours in the bucket and several colours of gerbera per bouquet. In this way it is possible to place up two five colours in a bucket or a bunch. The bouquet size can differ between five and twenty stems.

The basic speed of the machine amounts to 10,800 hooks per hour. The machine is made with a standard infeed station.
