Summerflowers telers op werkbezoek bij Havatec

Summerflowers growers visiting Havatec factory

Last week we had a successful meeting with a large number of Summerflowers growers. This meeting was held at the new Havatec factory. This flower processing machine builder was given time to show growers their new findings and growers really had the time to listen to this information. It was nice that, unlike an individual visit, they immediately had many colleagues around them for a discussion. Not only about the machine in question, but also to exchange ideas about the entire subject of the ever-advancing mechanization in our sector. After the break it was the turn of another aspect that everyone will have to deal with. The digitization of sales. The story was held by a representative of one of the partners of the courtship I mentioned in my blog from two weeks ago. It was nice that due to this relationship there was full confidence in the future of this cooperation. Sometimes surprising that the adaptation to the new systems is not really voluntary. because you almost certainly fall outside the boat if you do not move. What really helps is that there is now only one stage and that you as a grower do not have to choose from various options. After these beautiful presentations, my story at the end of the day was perhaps a bit disappointing. Not that I had nothing to say, but after the much information that had already been deposited about the growers, the head was already more than full. So it was time to go to the drink. Part of my story were the presentations that we regularly deliver as Summerflowers. Immediately after our growers' meeting, flowers were taken care of that were used by a group of international arrangers at a new photo shoot of Floral Fundamentals. Arranged some flowers together with these promotions for the Photoshoot of 365 Flowers. As if that wasn't enough, in between arranged flowers for a TV recording by Rob Verlinden on the occasion of the opening of the Keukenhof. Although this blog, according to the headline, is about sales and technology, it still has everything to do with seasonal flowers. Although we are really aiming for nostalgia with seasonal flowers, we cannot lose sight of the fact that we are a modern industry that uses all modern techniques to produce our flowers as healthy and sustainable as possible. Nice way to start the spring.

About Havatec

It was in the year 2000 that Havatec started with the development of machines for the mushroom sector. Not long after that Havatec developed an advanced machine for the grading and bunching of flower bulbs using X-ray techniques. As from 2003, Havatec has an extensive range of machines for automated grading and bunching of flowers, for packaging flowers in boxes.
