Tulip growers choose en mass for TulipStar combined with Havatec’s new debulber

TulipStar’s popularity rises fast. Grand names tulip growers purchased one or more Tulip Stars. Germaco, Wesselman Flowers, M.T. Burger Bloembollen, Maliepaard Bloembollen bv, Boot Flora and Breg Tulpen are some familiar names. And guess what? For Germaco this is TulipStar number seven and Wesselman Flowers ordered their number four and five.

The newest Havatec de-bulber is added to all of these machines. This new de-bulber is also working with 20 other machines. The Havatec de-bulber is unique for it’s choice of materials and accessibility of critical parts. The possibility to rotate the de-bulbing system for cleaning purposes was warmly welcomed. The de-bulber is now available with the patented crush-system for waterforced and jack screw system for soil. Significant features are: no stem breach, low maintenance costs, deep bulb cut outs, clean re-use quality for bulbs, high capacity and it can be placed before any bunching machine. We are currently building the new series for season 2016-2017.

The TulipStar concept has proven to be a machine that is reliable in the day tot day processing of tulips and makes a neat buncher and grader due to advanced x-ray techniques. At full capacity, the machine processes 16,000 tulips per hour. The speed is set to the necessary labour and is very profitable for companies from 5 million tulips on. According to the abovementioned companies, the TulipStar yields the lowest cost price per tulip and the least leaf and stem damage.
